At Atonement Christian Day School:

Children master valuable self-help skills.
Children learn to respect themselves, each other and the environment.
Play sets the stage for learning in which children may imitate, explore, test ideas, acquire information, and draw conclusions.
Children enjoy a multi-sensory way of learning.
Emphasis is placed on creating lifelong learners by encouraging exploration, curiosity and discovery.
Children experience hands on science and math.
The Preschool Curriculum is designed and implemented to meet and exceed the Illinois Early Childhood Education Standards set by the Illinois Department of Education with guidance from CDC Developmental Milestones.
All children will experience special enrichment weekly sign language, physical education, music, religious education, art, science and discovery curriculum.
Gross motor development with the addition of 2 new playgrounds, full sized multi-purpose gymnasium and monthly curriculum hosted by Stretch N Grow.
Music theory and creative movement and monthly programming hosted by Rock N Kids.
Monthly art appreciation study and replication projects culminating in an end of year Fine Arts Show.

Wobblers and Waddlers: Toddlers12 Months to 28 Months

4-5 Year Old Pre-K 4's Program
4/5/6 Year Old Junior Kindergarten Program

School Classrooms Are Open

7:30 am - 5:30 pm

Monday - Friday

Children 2 and up may enroll to attend 5 days a week or choose specific days.

Days must remain consistent for the semester.

Infants - Toddlers must register for 5 days, we do not offer part day or individual day programming for infants and toddlers.

2024/2025 School Year August 19th - May 23rd

2025/2026 School Year August 18th - May 22nd

ACDS Program Offerings

Full-Day

A year-round Full-Day preschool and Kindergarten with extended hours, from age 7 weeks to 7 years.

Part-Day

A traditional Part-Day preschool for your child, from age 2 to 5.

ELC

ACDS partners with the Early Learning Center in Barrington. The ELC serves at-risk preschool students in the
Barrington 220 School District.
